Restorations of rare and unheard songs from the dawn of the 20th century.

These recordings were originally made in the year 1900 using acoustical recording technology. While "electric microphones" date back to 1876, the condenser microphone that would revolution the recording industry was not invented until 1916. As such, these recordings from 1900 were made using a horn-- a technique which produces tinny sounds to a modern ear, but would have dazzled listeners of the day.

These recordings were taken directly off 1-sided disks, digitized, and restored to what we feel is a more accurate representation of what a new version of the record would have sounded like in 1900.
